the humble therapist

ask away

it’s the little things

things that make my heart happy

(in no particular order)

spending time with people I love

my pug chasing his tail

morning coffee

clean sheets (and laundry!)

having just enough change

reading a lovely poem

the first sip of ice cold soda

good songs on the radio

all green lights

the color aqua

painting my nails (and toenails)

hearing “I love you”

hugs

a new blouse (or high heels)

being in good health

Sometimes, behavior advances first, and emotions follow.

The key to understanding reinforcement is that reinforcement by definition always increases the frequency of the behavior; if it does so by presenting something pleasant, it is called a reward, and if it does so by removing something painful, it is called negative reinforcement.

samanthaeli asked: Hello :). I stumbled upon your blog in the psychology tag search and I just wanted to give some support to a fellow aspiring therapist! <3

Breathe

         one

             two

                 three

Take a step

                      one

                         two

                             three

It may seem pointless

                   Without meaning

                                But this life’s worth living

                                                        So just keep breathing

excellent, well-written & applicable,
